The twins from Dsquared2 sent the boys to school this season where the teacher had lost all control over his students-who got up and walked (or strut). The show was very toned down for the twins, which gave more attention to the detailed garments. Usually there are a lot more semi naked men to take the focus or a beautiful girl taking the spot light,but this time it was all about the clothes.

The militarily precise navy pants, the peacoat, the camel, the shearling, the leather blouson, offered a high cut on classics, with a razor-sharp polish. Even the showpieces—a parka and a denim jacket whose sleeves were laden with heavy metal. Dsquared2 is the only label where you can dress for school during the week,then become a rock-star on the weekend then dress for church on sunday. WE LOVE DSQUARED.

GUCCI FALL WINTER 2012/13 MENS COLLECTION MILAN

Gucci designer Frida Giannini came up with "a vocabulary of intellectual luxury for new rebels" inspired by Austrian-born actor Helmut Berger, she said, dubbing the result "Visconti Grunge" after Berger's director and partner Luchino Visconti.

The collection features oversized, destructured coats, sailor's jackets cinched in the back with big metal buttons, all in rich materials: velvet, British textiles and silk prints. Short, close-fitting jackets make for a dynamic silhouette, with discreet embroidery or prints of roses and irises - black on midnight blue, maroon on golden brown. Injecting a rock element was a vintage leather jacket paired with biker boots, or for really tough guys, a black rapper-style coat of sheepskin and beaver.

Weekend accessories include riding boots zipped up the back, and velvet or varnished leather slippers for the evening. Sober but intense hues dominate but make room for the occasional "decadent red and peacock green touches", Giannini says. Mixing and matching is the thing: a heavy wool jacket wraps around a delicate silk vest worn over a bare torso for a sensual vibe.

Last night Donatella Versace transported the denizens of Pier 57 to the streets of Milan with her H&M for Versace event. Serving as a greatest hits mix of iconic pieces from the brand’s history, the collection represented the very best of Italian high fashion at a price point everyone can afford. The launch introduced the highly anticipated designs to an elite guest list of film stars, editors and fashion insiders. Merging runway show, pop-up shop and explosive concert into one evening is no small feat, but Donatella and the H&M team managed to wow even the most jaded industry vets. With an all-star cast featuring Natasha Poly, Lindsey Wixson and Daphne Groeneveld plus an electric set by Nicki Minaj and Prince, this was one for the record books.

Ermenegildo Zegna had opened its new Flagship Store in Sydney back in sept which i had the pleasure to attend. The store is located on Castlereagh street at the new Sydney Westfield, where the full range of Zegna products and services will be made available.

On the night they had male models dappered up in the latest spring summer 2011 collection while standing around the room talking about the products to guest. The music was low which gave everyone the chance to net-work the room while being served with Campari & drinks. Over all the products are well cut with amazing detail, the store is easy to navigate either by the stairs to the next level or by the in-house elevator "what more can we ask for"- I think Sydney men will fast adapt to the Zegna life style.
